ECOWAS FEBWE Announces New Dates and Venue for 2025 Regional International Trade Fair
The ECOWAS Federation of Business Women Entrepreneurs (FEBWE), Nigeria Chapter, under the leadership of its President, Princess Omotola Basirat Omole, is pleased to announce the rescheduling and relocation of the 2025 ECOWAS FEBWE Regional International Trade Fair.
The Trade Fair, which was initially scheduled to take place in Lagos, will now be held in Abuja in line with the guidance and coordination of the ECOWAS Commission, as part of activities commemorating the 50th Anniversary of ECOWAS.
The new dates and venue are as follows:
* Date: Tuesday, 30th September – Friday, 3rd October 2025
* Venue: National Centre for Women Development, Tafawa Balewa Way, CBD, Abuja, Nigeria
* Theme: "Facilitating Cross-Border Trade for Women Entrepreneurs in ECOWAS"
Speaking on the development, Princess Omotola Basirat Omole stated:
“This decision reflects our commitment to aligning with the vision of the ECOWAS Commission and providing an even greater platform for regional integration, collaboration, and empowerment of women entrepreneurs across West Africa. The Abuja venue offers the advantage of proximity to the ECOWAS Commission Headquarters, regional institutions, and key policymakers, ensuring an impactful gathering.”
The 2025 Trade Fair will feature:
* Exhibitions showcasing high-quality products and services under the ECOWAS Trade Liberalization Scheme (ETLS)
* Business-to-business matchmaking and networking opportunities
* High-level keynote addresses and policy discussions
* Thematic sessions on trade facilitation, financial inclusion, and women’s entrepreneurship development
Over 2,000 women entrepreneurs, private sector leaders, policymakers, development partners, and stakeholders from across the 15 ECOWAS Member States are expected to attend.
