ECOWAS FEBWE Nigeria Member Attends Intra African Trade Fair (IATF 2021) In South Africa
The Intra African Trade Fair ( IATF 2021) was held on 15-21 November, 2021 at Durban, Kwazulu Natal, South Africa. ECOWAS FEBWE Nigeria was represented by Olubunmi Olalekan at the event as part of the effort of the organization to equip and prepare women towards breaking the barriers on our borders to trade easily without any hindrance.
The event which had in attendance many head of states, former and present, many business executives, many prospective investors and partners offered a unique trade platform towards enabling efficient settlement of international and domestic transactions.
The former president of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo in his speech retirated that there’s no better time than now to key into the AfCFTa and begin to do business across borders as Africa is more than enough to show the rest of the world how much we are capable of achieving.
The president of NEXIM and AFREXIM banks in their statements respectively pledged their support towards business who is ready to take up the baton begin to run their business(es) across the borders. The chairman of the Nigeria Export Promotion Council, Segun Awolowo reaffirm the commitment of the council towards supporting business with funds and technical know how so as to be able to expand as that is the only way towards economic growth of any nation.
