The meeting started at 6:03 pm with an opening prayer by Ms Omotola Omole, the NC Ecowas Febwe, Nigeria. The moderator in the person of the Lagos state coordinator, Princess Moshe Abiodun, welcomed everyone present.

The National Coordinator, Ms. Omotola Omole started with an opening speech introducing Ecowas Febwe and welcoming all members present.

The National President, Iyalode Alaba Lawson, MfR, FioD, JP, gave the welcome speech and took us through achievements so far since our last meeting by executives and members of the association.

These achievements include;

• i . Visit to Ecowas commission in Abuja to visit Mr Enobong and that visit gave birth to the visit to Sierra Loane for the AfCFTA capacity training.
• ii . The National President Ecowas Febwe Nigeria, Iyalode Alaba Lawson ,and the COO, WEPDN, Mrs Affi Ibanga, visited Abuja for a further push on the rape of children and women and this has led to the inclusion of it in some state laws which has brought about a reduction in the crime.
• iii . April – ECOWAS/ UNDP capacity building Program in Sierra Loane attended by the Nat.Secretary.
• iv . May – Visit to FIIRO introducing Ecowas /Febwe Nigeria and what we can gain working together.
• v. June – Constitutional Zonal hearing towards the constitutional amendment .
• vi . July – The farmland given by Ogun state at Kotopo was visited and work is ongoing.
• vii .August – The re-activation of the Nigeria Ecowas Febwe account has been done.

The National President, Iyalode Alaba Lawson, reviewed the annual subscription for 2020/21( Period Under Covid) to $25 dollars for 2020 and $25 dollars for 2021 respectively.

Please note: That normal subscriptions resume January 2022 as $100 or its equivalent in Naira at the going rate.

A registration form will be made available to members and a membership card given which will be endorsed by Ecowas Febwe, the National President, NC and the Secretary after members have paid their yearly subscription.

Exhibition of Ecowas Febwe members will come up before the end of the year so all members are advised to get their passports and products ready.

The National President volunteered to speak to the DG, NAFDAC to attend a physical meeting so as to create an opportunity to help our members with the NAFDAC registration challenges.

A physical meeting will hold next week with Mrs. Folorunso to speak to us on AfCFTA. The date and time will be communicated to the group.

Cluster heads should organize their clusters so as to have training at FIIRO to help in the production of their products.
