African Business Women Attends 2-Days Capacity Training On AfCFTA
Female African Business owners across all West African countries converged at the ECOWAS-Federation of Women Business Entrepreneurs (FEBWE) Nigeria Chapter for a 2-Day packed training on “Capacity Building and Export Training Workshop,” emphasizing the requirements needed for the Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Opportunity, discussing the solution to the challenges hampering Intra-African Trade in the region, and connecting women all over the region for transborder trade.
The workshop scheduled between August 8-9, 2023, under the auspice of the Economic of West African States (ECOWAS), had participants from Nigeria, Guinea, Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire, Senegal, Guinea-Bissau, Cabot Verde, Burkina-Faso, Benin Republic, Togo, Mali, Liberia, The Gambia, Niger, Sierra Leone, and Mauritania.
The European Union (EU), USAID, the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation Germany-ECOWAS, the World Bank Group, and German Technical Cooperation all provided funding and support for the well-attended event.
